New Year, New Resolutions and New Influences?!?

After a mad year of 2010, some things seem to be a lot clear in terms of direction for the Pure Primary brand.

One of the resolutions was to film, photograph and interview people more behind the camera, and here is a perfect example of all three – The Satorialist!

Intels new campaign in line with Visual Experiences -

“…Through visual experiences, we define who we are…”

A statement I couldn’t agree more with, they chose director Tyler Manson to follow the blogger – Scott Schuman, aka “The Sartorialist,”, his website reaches about 70,000 readers a day! WOW!

The film covers his day-to-day life and tries to explore his approach to his photography, his inspirations and how he would approach people on the street.

“In love with both fashion and photography, Danielle DeFoe has built up a great portfolio as a stylist before now really taking on photography more serious than ever: “- I’ve always been interested in photography. I took photo classes in college at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago but I don’t think I really took it seriously until the last two years. By seriously I mean I started making work I actually liked, documenting my life, working on set styling. When I first moved to LA I began working for Kenneth Cappello and that experience really exposed me to the industry and the possibilities within it. I realized that I was never going to be the type of person that will end up working in an office, unless I become creative director or fashion editor of a magazine.”

Finally premiering his video through MTV’s major networks, ‘Runaway‘ is finally released after months of teasers, screen grabs and leaked sections of a track/.

Basically a very long music video presented in a short film format, Definitely watch the ballerina section twice, specifically the wide crane shot, holding in a position like that must be painful…The film follows Kanye and a Phoenix who falls to Earth, rejected by her surroundings she then has to go back to her universe by burning herself?!? A sacrifice maybe…

Some interesting dialogue in the film:

1. “..first rule in this world baby, don’t pay attention to anything you see in the news..”.

Dont really know what to make of the Michael Jackson reference, a ‘Kanye West” sendoff to the late great??
